“Moledet” was the product of a factory in Tel-Aviv, which belonged to a gentleman by the name of Magid. It produced graphite and color pencils using manual methods. It operated during the British Mandate era and was put out of business by the company described in the next paragraph.
Efronot Yerushalaim (Jerusalem Pencils Brand)
This brand was established in Israel (after 1948) and is a modern factory producing a variety of different hardness pencils as well as color pencils for children.
The urge of Israel for peace with all its neighbors is expressed in many ways, even in names for writing articles. Efronot Yerushalaim had several series of pencils trade named “Shalom” meaning peace.
